Discovery Place KidScience

Our Smarty friends at Discovery Place continue to roll out new activities and exhibitions resulting from their ongoing renovations with KidScience, a new area for little ones to get their hands and minds on science. The new KidScience is an early childhood exhibition where young children, ages 0-7, and their caregivers learn about science and math as they experiment, create and play together. In the 3,300 square feet of exhibits, your little Smarties are free to explore fundamental objectives in science via six main topics, some highlights include:

The Tinkertron is the collaborative centerpiece of the room with 12 types of building sets and tools. It’s where children learn about gravity, making predictions and problem solving.

Water Table is a splashing good time as your child explores the basics of hydrodynamics.

The Wind Wall introduces the elements of aerodynamics as little ones put on a cape, pick up streamers or grab a pinwheel and step in front of the wall.

Smarties under the age of 3 still have their specially-designated area for tactile exploration, motor skills development and socialization.
