It has been a fun and rewarding experience. I’ll admit, at first I was terrified and wondered what I had gotten myself into. Right before each new thing I tried I would be nervous about it, but they all ended up being enjoyable. As women, and especially mothers, we don’t usually take time for ourselves. We tend to get wrapped up in the needs of our family but it’s important to take a step back and make sure we are doing some things for ourselves also.

This past summer, I had this crazy idea about a big car campaign and all I kept thinking about was MAJOR PINK. Hmmm, I wonder why?! But something inside was telling me that I should partner with another platform to make it more fun, but I just wasn't sure. Until I met Rebecca Plaisance with South Charlotte Macaroni Kid. It was like two sisters colliding, I knew it was the perfect match. And that's when the Smarty & Macaroni cars were born.

I can’t stop thinking about the newly viral You Tube video posted by Tommy Jordan, entitled Facebook Parenting: For the Troubled Teen. You can watch it below if you haven’t seen it. So many parents have jumped on this guy’s bandwagon and are responding to his video with verbal “pats on the back” and accolades for being a great dad. What?! We can all agree that this teen’s behavior was rude, offensive, and punishable. I hope we also agree that sometimes our kids can drive us to the brink of insanity and that we might have irrational and outrageous reactions to having our buttons pushed.

Especially if you plan on signing your kids up for summer camps. For working moms, this is when survival mode kicks in since you have to map out every single day of summer when school gets out. For SAHM's, camp serves as an enrichment program for kids to explore the things they like and give moms a break.
